Norma Davis was born in North Georgia and graduated from Gilmer High School in 1966 as an honor graduate. She then moved to Atlanta for 16 years before moving back to the country where she grew up. After her son and daughter were grown and married, it was then time to do what she had been wanting to do. As North Georgia was apple country and she enjoyed cooking, Norma’s Sweet Treats became supplier for apple houses and some restaurants with apple and peach fried pies. Also, meals to go were done on a part time basis. Reason to move to KY: Norma and her husband had their first grandbaby in 2004 and enjoyed her for 4 ½ weeks before the parents moved with her to Liberty, Kentucky. After 2 years of traveling from Georgia to Kentucky to visit, they realized how much they loved this small laid back town that reminded them of the town where they lived in Georgia. Their move from GA to KY took place in 2006. Being located in Liberty, KY gives them the small town atmosphere that they love, but at the same time there are only 30-40 minutes north, south, east and west from larger towns with more restaurants and shopping only 30-40 minutes to the north, south, east and west. Liberty is just over an hour from Lexington, Kentucky. Real Estate: Norma’s daughter as well as her wonderful husband of 40 years (June 2015) encouraged her to pursue a career in real estate. Her husband agreed to go with her to real estate classes and together they got their licenses to sell real estate. Norma feels this was the best thing ever. Norma has always been a “people” person. When helping someone find just what they are looking for and to experience their happiness gives her a feeling of having made a perfect match. She has received the United Country Pinnacle Award for Sales Volume 5 years running. Norma’s favorite compliments from her sellers and buyers have been about her honesty and hard work. If you want to buy or sell a country home, recreational property or farm in the Liberty, Kentucky area give Norma a call on her cell phone at 1-(606)-706-6662.
